our 2020 Scholarship Winner!

Two award opportunities are available annually from the Zonta Club of the Adirondacks: the Zonta International District 2 Jean M. Coon Humanitarian Award and the Young Women in Public Affairs Award. 

Zonta ADK gives $250 for each award.

 

The District 2 Jean M. Coon Humanitarian Award is given for outstanding community service. Academic achievement is not a factor in selecting a winner. Applicants must be a young woman in high school who is a junior or senior.  

Our club's award winner will be nominated to compete for a cash award scholarship at the District Level. 

 

The Young Women in Public Affairs Award will go to a young woman aged 16-19 who is committed to volunteerism and experienced in leadership. Our club's award winner will be nominated to compete for a cash award scholarship at the District Level. 

The district winner will go on to compete for scholarships at the International Level.

 

 

A book award also will be presented by the Zonta Club of the Adirondacks to the winning candidate of the above scholarships. All applications must be received by March 24, 2021 by email only to zontaadkscholarships@gmail.com.

Also, available is the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Award/Scholarship which is awarded to women in at least the second year of an undergraduate program undertaking business studies who have demonstrated outstanding potential in the field. 

 

 

The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships are awarded to women undertaking business studies who have demonstrated outstanding potential in the field. Zonta International offers scholarships of US$1,000 each at the district/region level and 12 international scholarships in the amount of US$7,000 each. Any woman undertaking a business and/or business-related program at an accredited university/college/institute, in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a Master’s program at the time the application is submitted, is eligible to apply. The Scholarship may be used at any university, college or institute offering accredited courses and degrees.
