Zonta Club of the Adirondacks History

During the spring and winter of 2017, a small group of women grew to a group of 22 working together to get the Zonta Club of the Adirondacks off the ground. The Adirondack chapter received its charter from Zonta International as Club Number 1965 on July 19, 2017. In late 2017, the club also received its 501 (c)3 charity status. The first Board of Directors elected at the May 24, 2017 organizational meeting was comprised of Amy Quinn (President), Petra Weber (Vice-President), Gwyn-Anne Bissonette (Treasurer), Sage Bissell Ruttan (Recording Secretary), Miriam Hadden (Corresponding Secretary), as well as Joan Kelleher and Nicole Bureau (Directors at Large).
